Here’s When to Call Us Right Away
Call us immediately if your child has a knocked-out permanent tooth, severe tooth pain, a broken tooth with a sharp edge, swelling in the jaw or face, or a dental injury from a fall or accident. The sooner we see them, the better the outcome.

If your child is cooperative and ready for their first dental visit, we’re happy to see them. We offer sealants and fluoride treatments to protect growing teeth. It’s the small stuff that prevents the big stuff later. We see children as young as six months for early oral health checks, and we’ll let you know honestly if they’re ready for a cleaning or if it’s better to wait.

A children’s dental emergency includes a knocked-out tooth, severe tooth pain, a broken or cracked tooth, a dental abscess, swelling in the face or jaw, or any dental injury from a fall or accident. If your child is in pain or something doesn’t look right, call us — we’d rather you call and find out it’s minor than wait on something that needs treatment.

What should I do if my child knocks out a tooth?
If it’s a permanent tooth, pick it up by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently with water, and try to place it back in the socket or keep it in a container of milk. Call us immediately and we’ll guide you through next steps.

Yes. Laughing gas (nitrous oxide) is safe, effective, and takes the edge off for kids who are nervous or in pain. It wears off quickly, so your child can go back to their normal day right after the appointment.
