Dental Crowns & Inlays/Onlays in Fairfax, VA

Same-day crowns milled in-house. No temporaries, no lab wait.

A Cracked or Broken Tooth Doesn’t Have to Wait

A crown that breaks, a tooth that cracks under pressure, a root canal that needs to be sealed — these are emergencies that need same-day solutions. With our CEREC in-house milling technology, we design and mill your permanent crown right here while you wait. No temporary crown, no second appointment, no lab turnaround time. You walk in with a problem and walk out with a permanent fix.

Not Every Broken Tooth Needs the Same Fix

Not every damaged tooth needs the same level of repair. The right approach depends on how much of the tooth is still healthy.

A crown covers the entire tooth and is used when damage is more extensive, like after a root canal or when a large filling has failed. An inlay fits within the grooves of a back tooth, while an onlay covers one or more cusps when more support is needed.

All three are made from high-quality porcelain and designed to blend in with your natural teeth. In most cases, they can be completed in-house, the same day.

Built to Last, and Matched to Your Mouth

Every crown and restoration is designed using digital scans of your teeth — no messy impressions, no guessing. The result fits precisely and looks natural. We’ll match the shade to your surrounding teeth so nothing looks out of place.

What is a dental crown?

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap placed over a damaged tooth to restore its shape, strength, and appearance. It’s used after a root canal, when a tooth is severely cracked or decayed, or when a large filling fails. At DentCare Now, crowns are designed and milled in-house using CEREC technology and placed the same day.

How much does a dental crown cost in Fairfax, VA?

Dental crowns at DentCare Now are about $1,600. Insurance coverage varies, but we’ll help you understand your benefits and submit your claim on your behalf. Elite Protection Plan members receive 10% off. Financing is available.

How long does a same-day crown take?

Most same-day crown appointments take 2–3 hours from start to finish — that includes the digital scan, design, milling, and placement. You leave with a permanent crown the same day, no temporary needed.

How long do dental crowns last?

With proper care, crowns typically last 10–15 years or longer. Regular cleanings, avoiding grinding, and not biting hard objects all extend the lifespan. We’ll let you know what to watch for and when it might be time for a replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • My crown fell off — can you see me today?

Yes. A crown that’s fallen off is a dental emergency and we treat it as one. Call us at (703) 520-9985 and we’ll get you in same-day. Keep the crown if you have it — we may be able to recement it depending on the condition.

  • What’s the difference between a crown and an inlay or onlay?

A crown covers the entire tooth. An inlay fills the space between the cusps of a back tooth, and an onlay covers one or more of the cusps. Inlays and onlays are used when there’s too much damage for a filling but not enough to justify a full crown. We’ll tell you which is the right call at your visit.

  • Does insurance cover dental crowns?

Coverage depends on your plan and the reason for the crown. Many plans cover a portion of crown costs when it’s medically necessary — we’ll submit your claim and fight for your reimbursement. Elite Protection Plan members receive 10% off. Learn about financing.
