Most DC patients who call us have already tried two or three closer options. Either their regular dentist couldn't see them same-day, or the cost of an emergency visit at a closer practice felt high. We post our prices, we don't charge an emergency premium, and the drive west on I-66 against typical commute traffic moves faster than most people expect. The 25 to 40 minute drive often beats waiting days for an appointment closer to home.

From the DC ER to Our Chair

DC emergency rooms see a lot of dental patients because there aren't many same-day dental options in the District itself. They can give you antibiotics and pain medication but cannot treat the dental cause, so you're usually told to follow up with a dentist within 48 hours. That's us. Bring your discharge paperwork and prescriptions. We'll handle the dental treatment.

Free Parking Is a Real Selling Point

If you live in DC, you know what parking is like. Our office has a free lot with five spots reserved for our patients, right in front of the building. No street parking, no meters, no garages, no permits. Pull in, walk in, get treated.

How long does it take to drive from DC?

Most DC patients drive 25 to 40 minutes to reach us, depending on which part of DC they're starting from and the traffic on I-66. Outside rush hour, the trip is closer to 25 to 30 minutes. Evening commute outbound from DC can stretch it past 40 minutes.

Will you accept my DC dental insurance?

We're out-of-network with most plans but accept all major PPO insurance. We submit your claim on your behalf and fight for your reimbursement. Most PPO patients get meaningful coverage even out-of-network. If you don't have insurance, we offer financing through Cherry, CareCredit, Sunbit, Affirm, Alphaeon, and Proceed.

What does an emergency dental visit cost?

The emergency exam is $250 and includes your X-rays. Treatment costs depend on what we find. An extraction starts at $250, a same-day root canal is $2,800 to $3,200, and a same-day CEREC crown is $1,658. You'll get a written estimate before treatment begins. Do you take Metro patients?

The Metro doesn't run directly to our office, but the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Orange Line station is about 5 miles from us, and patients sometimes Uber the last leg. Driving is faster, but if Metro is your only option, the route from Foggy Bottom or Metro Center to Vienna takes about 35 to 40 minutes plus the rideshare.
