You don't go home temporarily and come back in two weeks. The new crown is permanent and placed before you leave.

Yes. A crown that's fallen off is a dental emergency and we treat it as one. Keep the crown if you have it. We may be able to recement it depending on the condition of the crown and the tooth underneath. If a new crown is needed, we mill and place a permanent CEREC crown the same day, $1,658, no temporary and no second visit.

Questions Patients Ask About Lost Fillings and Crowns
Can I just glue my crown back on myself?
Don't use household glue, super glue, or anything similar. They can damage the tooth and the crown, and they make it harder for us to bond the crown properly when you do come in. If you absolutely need a temporary hold (you have an event in a few hours), drugstore dental cement is the safest option. Then come see us as soon as you can.
Can you replace old metal fillings with tooth-colored ones?
Yes. If your old metal fillings are worn, cracked, or you'd just like them gone, we can replace them with tooth-colored composite. That's not usually an emergency, but if your metal filling came out or broke and you'd rather not have another one, we can replace it with composite same-day.
My crown was placed at another dentist. Can you still fix it?
Yes. We see plenty of patients whose original work was done somewhere else. We'll evaluate whether the existing crown can be reused or if a new one is needed, and we'll handle whichever makes sense, same-day. You don't need to track down your original dentist or worry about coordinating care.
