How Pricing Works at DentCare Now

Most emergency dental visits cost a fortune because most dental offices treat emergencies as opportunities. We don't. Our pricing is the same whether you walk in on a Tuesday afternoon or a Sunday morning. We posted the price list at the front desk so you can see what things cost before you sit down. And before any treatment begins, we walk you through the plan and the cost, and you make the call. No surprise bills, no "oh, and one more thing."

Financing Options

A dental emergency shouldn't mean choosing between your tooth and your rent. If you don't have insurance, or your insurance won't cover what needs to happen, we work with basically every financing option except bitcoin. You can apply in minutes from your phone, get approved before you sit in the chair, and pay over time.

  • Cherry
  • Sunbit
  • CareCredit
  • Affirm
  • Alphaeon
  • We also accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.

Have a Question? We Have the Answer.

  • How much does an emergency dentist cost?

At Dent Care Now, the emergency exam (including X-rays) is $250. Treatment costs depend on what's needed. An extraction starts at $250, a root canal ranges from $2,800 to $3,200, a same-day crown is $1,658. You'll get a written estimate before any treatment begins, and the full price list is posted at our front desk for you to see.
  • Do you accept my dental insurance?

We're out-of-network with most plans, which means we don't have a direct contract with your insurance company, but most PPO plans still cover out-of-network emergency care at 50% to 80%. We submit your claim for you and follow up until you're reimbursed. The simplest way to find out exactly what your plan covers is to call us with your insurance card handy and we'll help you sort it out.
  • What if I can't afford the treatment all at once?

We work with six different financing companies (Cherry, Sunbit, CareCredit, Affirm, Alphaeon, and Proceed) and you can apply for any of them in a few minutes from your phone. Most patients get approved and can split treatment costs into monthly payments. We'll help you figure out which option fits your situation when you come in.
  • Is there a payment plan I can sign up for at the practice itself?

We don't run our own in-house payment plans, but the third-party financing options above (Cherry, Sunbit, CareCredit, Affirm, Alphaeon, Proceed) function the same way. You apply, you get approved, you pay monthly. We're happy to walk you through the differences between them so you can pick the one that works best for you
  • Will I get a price quote before any treatment?

Yes. After your emergency exam and X-rays, we sit down with you and walk through what we found, what we recommend, and what each option costs. You decide what you want to do. Nothing happens without your explicit go-ahead and nothing gets added to your bill that you didn't agree to ahead of time.
  • Do you offer a discount if I pay in cash?

We don't run a separate cash discount — and that's on purpose. Our prices are the same for everyone, posted up front, whether you're paying cash, using insurance, or financing. We're an emergency office, but we don't charge emergency markups. Before any treatment starts, you'll see the exact cost in writing, so there are no surprise bills. And if you'd rather spread payments out, we work with Cherry, CareCredit, Alphaeon, Affirm, and Sunbit. If you're looking for ongoing savings, ask about our Elite Protection Plan when you come in.
